Ostional

nd have Hey,

All is good here. Its very very remote, with about two shops that don't really sell much, but its an experience. The houses are very poor and the people don't have much, but you can learn so much from that, so much. I have realised how lucky I am to have the life style that I have.

So far I am sharing my room with a Tarantula, Iguana, various lizards, ants, and beetles of every sort, so thats good (ha). The house is very make shift and not all together the cleanest, but the lady is lovely. Again though, doesn't speak any English. I have tried to encorporate myself into the culture as much as possible and have been to the church with a family I have made friends with. Baked and eaten a cake/ sticky flapjack with them and things like that so that is all good. Tomorrow if all goes well I am also going to a big local dance, that a girl on our trip has arranged. Learnt quite a few Salsa moves, and wants even better is all the guys here dance it!!

There is an American group here at the moment, arrived yesterday, and they all seem really nice. They are all very young, so I take my hat off to them for sticking this out because its not easy. The leader though is really nice. I have actually just sat talking to him for about 2 hours. Very very gay, but a great guy, really interesting.

Anyway better head off I need to get some sleep before my night shift. I am so tired, we don't get to sleep a huge amount and the shifts are very long and hard work. On the up side there is lots of walking involved so I must be getting fitter/healthier.

Ok,

Hope everyone is OK, speak to you soon
xxx
